Lois Louise Long Cook, July 11, 1922 - June 23, 2019. Born in Richmond, Virginia, to the late Henry H. Long and Gertrude H. Topel Long.
Preceded in death by husband of 37 years, Arthur T. Cook, married at Grace Cathedral in 1948, and sister Helen V. Long Klueber.
Survived by sons, Michael J. Cook (Sharilyn), David T. Cook (Heather) and Stephen D. Cook (Patti); granddaughters Michelle Cook Wagner (Scott), Allison and Melissa Cook, grandsons, David (Laura) and Michael Cook; and three great-grandchildren; Braden and Kaitlyn Wagner and Joshua Cook.
Lois was a long time member (since 1953) at St. Peters Episcopal Church, Redwood City, serving on the Altar Guild and Vestry and a member of the “Crafty Ladies”. She was also an RN at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, 1954 to 1989, lastly in the Coronary and Intensive Care Units.
Services to be held on July 5, 2019, at St. Peters Episcopal Church at 10:30 AM followed by graveside service where she will be buried alongside Arthur at Skyline Memorial Park, San Mateo, CA, at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, Lois requested donations to: St. Peters Episcopal Church Living Memorial Fund 178 Clinton Street Redwood City, CA 94062 or to the American Heart Association.
Funeral Arrangement made with Redwood Chapel. Funeral Service to be held at: St. Peter’s Episcopal Church 178 Clinton St, Redwood City, CA 94062. Services start at 10:30 am Friday, July 5, 2019 Followed by burial at Skylawn Memorial Park, Highway 92 @ Route 35, San Mateo, CA 94402
