Leslie Edward Morse, Jr. passed away peacefully at age 89 on October 3, 2023.
Les was born in San Francisco, CA on October 11, 1933 to Ursula and Leslie Morse, Sr. He was adventurous in his youth and enjoyed exploring the city. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1952 and in 1954, met the love of his life, Doris Romine, at the Sacramento Fair. They married later that year and over the next six years, they had three children: Michelle “Mickey”, Patricia “Patti”, and Robert “Bob”.
Les served briefly in the National Guard and then spent seventeen years as a driver for the Yellow Cab Company in San Francisco. After moving out of the city and eventually settling his family into a home in Millbrae, CA, Les became a security guard and enjoyed that profession until his retirement in the early 90s.
Les is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Michelle. He is survived by wife Doris; sister Ursula; children Patricia (Joe) Morse Armes and Robert (Carmen) Morse; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 after 12 p.m. at CHAPEL OF THE HIGHLANDS, El Camino Real at 194 Millwood Drive in Millbrae, with a Funeral Liturgy at 1 p.m. Committal will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at www.cff.org.
