Diane Bates, 86, born May 3, 1932, died peacefully with family and friends May 7, 2018.
Daughter of James H. Bates and Antigone Marquis, sister of James H Bates Jr., aunt of James, Tony and Greg Bates. A San Francisco native. Attended City College of San Francisco 1950-53. Dedicated her early years to the San Francisco Police Department Homicide Unit. After retirement, Diane was actively involved in community service and always found time for her many friends and family. She will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held at Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross in Belmont on Wednesday, May 16, starting at 10:30 a.m. Committal Services will follow at the Greek Orthodox Memorial Park in Colma, California.
