Bernice Geraldine Andreini, “Grams,” born Oct. 1, 1927, died peacefully in her sleep in the wee hours of the morning May 2, 2018.
Native of South San Francisco is survived by her four children, Randy M. Andreini (Marni) of Monterey, Del A. Andreini (Ann Marie) of Castaic, Paul J. Andreini (Ron) of San Francisco, Gayle S. Gaggero (Dwight) of San Mateo, their children and great-grandchildren, and loving sister Alice Leary (William) of Millbrae, niece Carmen Brown (Wallace) of Burlingame. Divorced from their father Peter Andreini in 1970, they remained friends until he passed in 1999.
Creative, Grams loved jazz, crocheted countless afghans, scarves and caps, painting and home decorating. Nat King Cole was her favorite vocalist, but as Sinatra would say, so would Grams, “I did it my way.”
“We love you Mom. Sleep well.”
Private burial for family. Donations to Hospice By The Bay Of San Francisco and Marin.
To my great-great aunt Bern. I was floored when my dad sent me the text that you passed. The day before we were just talking about you. I had showed him a jazz song I had just discovered and he told me you would be very impressed. Last April was when I last saw you and I choked up a little because you didn't look well, but now you're in a better place. Rest in peace, Auntie Bern.
