Annie (Anita) Cook passed away at age 77 peacefully at home in San Bruno, CA on January 25, 2025 surrounded by her husband, Howard Cook, her son, Paolo Sanchez and dear friend Ann Woolen. Devoted daughter of the late Jorge Castro and the late Victoria Balanay of Santa Ignacia, Tarlac, Philippines.

Annie was a precious member of her community known for her devotion to her faith through service. She was a longtime parishioner of Saint Dunstan Catholic Church working as Eucharistic Minister and volunteering at the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul for 15 years. Her natural skills in organization bolstered her to career success as a shipping coordinator. Annie and Howard enjoyed a beautiful marriage as partners and friends for 42 years. When Howard first experienced Annie’s feisty personality he knew he had met his match. She is admired by her son for her strength of character and determination in migrating to the US for a better life. She will be remembered by family and friends as a resourceful, fashionable, and loving mother and wife and community member.
