Noteworthy and influential people who've died this year

September also saw the death of acclaimed actor Robert Redford. Known as the Hollywood golden boy, Redford was one of the biggest stars of the 1970s with films such as “The Candidate,” “All the President’s Men” and “The Way We Were.”

Other notable deaths in September included Saudi Arabia's Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al-Sheikh, Italian actor Claudia Cardinale, designer Giorgio Armani, Indigenous actor Graham Greene, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints President Russell M.
