MODESTO -- Someone may have deliberately slammed a vehicle into a warehouse belonging to Scott Peterson, the husband of missing Modesto woman Laci Peterson, the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department said.
"It looks like someone took a car and rammed it into the walk-in door," sheriff's spokesman Kelly Huston said.
Authorities do not know when the incident occurred. Nothing was reported stolen, Huston said.
Scott Peterson, a fertilizer salesman, called deputies Saturday. He said he moved everything of value two weeks ago out of the warehouse, which he uses in his work with Tradecorp, a Spanish company that makes fertilizer.
Last month, Peterson reported that someone broke into his house while setting up a search effort for his missing pregnant wife in Southern California.<
