A South San Francisco High School employee arrested in December for alleged sexual misconduct with an underage student was charged with five felonies and three misdemeanors Tuesday, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.
Four male victims have now been identified in the charges Noelia Linares, a 32-year-old Richmond resident, faces, among them sexual penetration by a foreign object, oral copulation on a child under 18, distributing and showing pornography to a minor and unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, according to prosecutors.
The felony charges Linares is facing are related to incidents with two victims occurring between Sept. 1 and Oct. 26, while misdemeanor charges related to her alleged kissing and smoking marijuana with two other minors are believed to be connected to December incidents, according to prosecutors.
Linares was arrested Dec. 18 following a weeklong investigation revealing she allegedly victimized a 17-year-old student, said South San Francisco police previously.
Linares, who police reported was employed as a paraprofessional, indicated on her LinkedIn profile that she’s spent the last six years working for the high school as an instructional assistant for bilingual students and typically works in eight different classrooms throughout the week. She also worked at El Camino High School for a year and studied psychology at Notre Dame de Namur University and San Francisco State University, according to her LinkedIn profile.
When the crime was first reported in December, officials with the South San Francisco Unified School District said in a statement they were cooperating with the investigation and said student safety was a high priority.
Linares was reportedly booked into county jail on felony charges related to sexual misconduct of a minor. However, shortly after her arrest, she was out of jail on $100,000 bail, the Sheriff’s Office previously reported.
She will next appear in court Jan. 23 for Superior Court arraignment, according to prosecutors.
