A 38-year-old San Leandro resident allegedly threatened to shoot and kill people at the San Bruno YouTube campus via X on Feb. 12, the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office said.
The man, Maxwell Littleton, pleaded not guilty to felony threat March 4, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 14.
Littleton allegedly warned he was going to go on a killing spree at the YouTube campus, prompting Google’s cybercrime investigation team to report a threat to San Bruno police and work with law enforcement to track Littleton to his San Leandro home.
This isn’t the first time the YouTube campus has been a potential target for gun violence. In 2018, Nasim Aghdam shot and wounded three individuals at the YouTube campus before killing herself.
