A Redwood City man was arrested for assaulting his mom on the 100 block of Cypress Street in Redwood City Tuesday morning, then locking her out of the house, according to police.
At about 8 a.m., Oct. 22, Redwood City police responded to the location on the report of a 73-year-old woman who was locked out of her house by her 50-year-old son. She had visible injuries and said her son assaulted her. He was in the backyard and detained without incident, according to police.
A records check indicated the son was on probation and a search of his bedroom revealed an unserialized firearm with ammunition and high capacity magazine, additional handgun ammunition, rifle ammunition, various firearms parts and suspected controlled substance, according to police.
