Pleasanton police say they suspect that a rival high school might be responsible for a prank that left five deer carcasses in the Amador Valley High School swimming pool this morning.
A long-running tradition of pranks between Amador and its rival, Foothill High School, prompted a warning for officers to be on the lookout over the past couple of weeks, Parker said, but nothing materialized until this morning.
Sgt. Ron Parker said they were called at about 10 a.m. today by faculty members at the school, which is located at 1155 Santa Rita Road, concerning the badly decomposed carcasses in the pool. School was not shut down but the pool will have to be drained and properly sanitized to prevent any health problems.
