Officials at San Francisco International Airport have announced overnight closures this summer for the AirTrain, which connects the airport to BART and provides rail services between terminals, through mid-August.
The closures are necessary to facilitate the consruction of a new station at the Grand Hyatt hotel, which is scheduled to open next summer.
Monday through Friday the AirTrain will stop running between 8 p.m. and 5 p.m., but a shuttle bus running from the rental car center and the terminals will be available every five to 15 minutes, depending on the time of night.
The train will be running on Saturday and Sunday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., but riders are advised to refer to station displays and listen to any audio messages as there may only be one train line operating and the train may be traveling in a different direction than usual.
Airport officials said “Airport Ambassadors” will be there to assist anyone who needs it.
