An investigation that spanned several months and crossed multiple jurisdictions has netted a residential burglary suspect, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.
In December 2023, there were multiple residential burglaries in San Carlos in which a suspect would enter the lobby or mail room of apartment complexes and steal packages and other items. Sheriff’s Office investigators worked with San Mateo and Redwood City police to identify a suspect, Robert J. Larocca, 54, of Redwood City, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
On March 14, deputies and detectives arrested Larocca at his residence and recovered several stolen items. Police believe there may be additional victims yet to be identified.
Those with further information about this case are encouraged to contact Detective David Brandt at dbrandt@smcgov.org or (650) 363-4064. Additionally, anonymous tips can be provided via the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Anonymous Tip Line at (800) 547-2700.
