The mainstream press simply doesn't get it. It continues to portray Patricia Hearst as a willing bank robber and SLA member. False. She has been pardoned and is guiltless of wrongdoing. I tried to point out during her sensationalized trial 25 years ago, and subsequently, that brainwashing occurred and that justice was turned upside down in trying a kidnap victim while ignoring the perpetrators in a nearby jail house.

If she had not been kidnapped and tortured she would never have been in that Hibernia bank 25 years ago.
