A man found dead by San Mateo County sheriff’s deputies in the parking lot of Tunitas Creek Beach Oct. 2 was identified by the County Coroner’s Office as Luis Alberto Diaz-Lopez, 25, of Stockton.
The case is still under investigation and no other details are being released.
Deputies had received a call around 7 a.m. that a man was down in the parking lot south of Half Moon Bay. Responding deputies found Diaz-Lopez dead with obvious signs of foul play, though no vehicle or weapon was found at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
A similar incident occurred in February when a body was found further up the coast in the parking lot of Gray Whale Cove State Beach in Montara.
