A 21-year-old Belmont resident has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing his 24-year-old brother in the head with a knife over a fight that began with a dispute about the Wi-Fi, San Mateo County Chief Deputy District Attorney Shin-Mee Chang said.
The man, Issac Chungamuchaypina, was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon for the alleged attack, which started with mutual, physical fighting Aug. 18.
Chungamuchaypina allegedly stabbed his brother multiple times in the head and face with a knife that, at one point, was stuck in the brother’s head, Chang said.
The brother sustained cuts and scratches to the face and head.
Chungamuchaypina was issued a $100,000 bail and will issue a plea Aug. 27.
