Crews are completing work on Delaware Street and heading over to Claremont Street at First Avenue on its way from Belmont to Burlingame for an underground fiber optic line, according to the city of San Mateo.

Bandwidth IG is using contractor Daleo to install the lines from Pacific Boulevard and 42nd Avenue to Peninsula Avenue and Claremont Street. Daleo is using directional bores rather than trenching to lay the new lines, which mean the bore pits will be restored with some repaving where necessary, according to the city.
