A man used a chair from the outside dining area to smash a window in a Belmont restaurant on the 1600 block of El Camino Real and enter Wednesday morning but left without taking anything, according to police.
At approximately 6:50 a.m., during morning commute, the suspect rode to the location on a bicycle, northbound on the east side of El Camino Real from the area of San Carlos. Once inside, he walked around the business and checked out the cash register, prior to exiting via a door at the north end of the business, but then briefly re-entered the restaurant through the same door and then left again. After exiting, he can be seen sitting on the curb in front of the business, next to his bicycle prior to leaving. At this time nothing appears to have been taken from the restaurant, according to police.
The suspect is an Asian male in his 30s or 40s, medium height and weight, with short hair, a receding hairline and clean shaven. He was wearing a black sweatshirt over an orange hoodie and jeans. No details on his bicycle are available, according to police.
Anyone with information on this incident and/or the suspect are asked to contact Belmont police at (650) 595-7400 or police@belmont.gov.

I am sure the police and the owners know who this person is. Might be a former employee but he was well versed in the layout of the place. Watch how he used his head to 'go through' into the kitchen area by pushing away the curtain motif. If they have not captured this guy by the time I type this I will be surprised. I have seen him hanging around San Carlos and Belmont Libraries. Doubtful that he has all his faculties. His 'wiring' appears to be crossed up.
