Two people who died in a traffic collision in Daly City early Monday have been identified by the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office as Cornelio Cifuentes Soco, a 33-year-old South San Francisco resident, and Anthony Pacheco, a 53-year-old Petaluma resident.
The two men were killed when their minivan and sedan collided on southbound Interstate 280 near Eastmoor Avenue at about 2:45 a.m. Monday.
The rollover collision scattered glass and debris across the highway, causing the closure of some southbound lanes while the scene was cleared.
The cause of the collision is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
