Sacred Heart Prep 70, Summit Shasta 35
The Gators rolled to the lopsided win over the Black Bears in the Kelly Shea Galo Memorial Tournament hosted by Mills.
SHP (1-1) led 29-14 at halftime before erupting for 23 points in the third quarter and then outscored Summit Shasta (1-2) 18-4 in the fourth.
Kate Baron is off to a hot start for the Gators, going over the 20-point mark for the second game in a row, scoring a game-high 24 points. Jocelyn Jones added 14 and Bella Jansen-Oliges had 13 for SHP.
Summit was led Daina Randall and Jordan Lee, who both scored 11 points.
Mills 56, Presentation 14
The Vikings built a 12-point lead after the first period and cruised to the first-round win over the Panthers in the Kelly Shea Gallo Memorial Tournament.
Mills (1-0) led 14-6 after the first period and 33-10 at halftime. The Vikings then held Presentation (0-1) to just four points in the second half.
In other action ...
Capuchino (2-1) got past Eastside College Prep (3-2), 43-33.
Menlo School (2-1) buried Santa Clara (1-2), 60-20.
North-Torrence (4-0) scored 27 points in the first quarter and 25 more in the second as it routed Mercy (1-2), 86-15.
Boys’ basketball
Sacred Heart Prep 71, Branham 59
The Gators built a 19-8 lead after the first period and rode that to the win over the Bruins to give Jeff Wulbrun his first win as SHP’s new coach in the season opener.
Alex Osterloh led the way for SHP (1-0), scoring 20 points, with Zack Beals adding 16. Alberto De Bernardis chipped in with 10 points in the win.
Branham (2-3) was led by Brady Smith, finishing with 15 points. Aiden Vietvu and Daniel Wells both added 11 points for the Bruins.
Alisal 64, Sequoia 61 OT
The Trojans outscored the Ravens 17-14 in the fourth quarter to force overtime, where they got past Sequoia.

Sequoia (0-2) led 16-8 after the first period, but Alisal (1-1) flipped the script in the second and the teams were tied at 23-all at halftime.
South City 82, Burton-SF 38
The Warriors ripped the Pumas in the middle two quarters on their way to the lopsided win.
After leading 19-12 after the first quarter, South City (2-1) scored 24 in the second before blowing out Burton (0-4) in the third, outscoring the Pumas 30-8 to lead 73-30 going into the fourth.
Burlingame 55, Leland 52
The Panthers rode a 24-point first quarter to the win over the Chargers in the 58th annual Gary Brinck tournament hosted by Westmont.
Burlingame (2-0) led 24-18 after the first quarter, but Leland (2-1) rallied. The Chargers outscored the Panthers 12-10 in the second to trail 34-30 at the break before beating Burlingame by five in the third quarter to lead 45-44 going into the fourth.
But the Panthers held the Chargers to seven fourth-quarter points to pull out the win.
In other action ...
San Mateo (2-1) held off Los Altos (0-3), 60-53.
Hillsdale (1-0) opened the DeShawn Mitchell Era by giving the first-year coach a 65-40 win over Crystal.
Boys’ soccer
El Camino 1, Half Moon Bay 0
After a scoreless first half, the Colts pulled out the non-league win in the second half in the season opener for both.
Senior forward Andrew Tafolla supplied the game’s only goal for El Camino (1-0). Goalkeeper Eduardo Espinoza had a big game for the Colts, finishing with nine saves to post the shutout.
Menlo-Atherton 2, Lincoln-SJ 1
The Bears scored two first-half goals and held off the Lions in the second half to post their second win a row.
M-A is now 2-0 on the season, while Lincoln lost its season opener.
In other action ...
Jefferson (0-2-1) and Terra Nova (0-0-1) played to a scoreless draw.
Aragon (1-1) topped Riordan (0-2), 1-0.
