San Mateo County will be represented by two softball teams and two baseball teams in the top divisions of the Central Coast Section playoffs.
Six brackets for each softball and baseball were announced Tuesday. In the CCS Open Division softball tournament, Hillsdale earned the No. 4 seed, despite finishing in second place in the Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division standings. Carlmont, after winning the PAL Bay Division championship outright, earned the No. 8 seed in the CCS Open Division. West Catholic Athletic League regular-season co-champion Serra earned the No. 2 seed in the CCS Division I baseball tournament, while Burlingame, the PAL Bay Division champion, is seeded No. 4.
Serra and Burlingame will each play host in Saturday’s CCS openers in the eight-team Division I field. No. 5 Mitty (16-12-1) is at Washington Park to play Burlingame (18-5) at 11 a.m. No. 7 St. Ignatius travels to Serra (22-6) Saturday at Frisella Field for a 2 p.m. start.
Hillsdale (23-4) will play host for its Open Division softball opener, taking on No. 5 Willow Glen (21-6) at 11 a.m. Carlmont (12-9-1) is on the road, traveling to San Jose to play No. 1 St. Francis (25-0) at 11 a.m.
BASEBALL
In Division II, No. 8 Menlo-Atherton (12-11) travels to No. 1 Leigh-San Jose (17-9) for a 1 p.m. start.
In Division III, No. 6 Woodside (21-3-1) travels to No. 3 Palma-Salinas for an 11 a.m. first pitch. Reigning CCS DIII champion No. 7 Hillsdale (11-11-1) is at No. 2 Christopher-Gilroy (16-8) at 1 p.m.
In Division IV, No. 2 Sequoia (14-13) plays host to No. 7 Carlmont (14-13) in an all-PAL Bay Division opener at 1 p.m.

In Division V, Capuchino earned the No. 1 seed. The Mustangs (17-10) will host No. 8 Soquel (14-11) at Cap at 1 p.m.
In Division VI, Menlo (18-9) earned the top seed. The Knights host No. 8 Gonzales (14-6) at 1 p.m. No. 4 South City (21-5) hosts No. 5 Evergreen Valley (17-10) at 1 p.m. No. 6 Design Tech (14-5) is on the road at No. 3 Lincoln-San Jose (21-4) at 1 p.m.
SOFTBALL
In Division II, No. 2 Capuchino (14-11) opens postseason play Saturday hosting No. 7 Saratoga (13-5) at 10 a.m.
In Division III, No. 5 Notre Dame-Belmont (14-8) will play at No. 4 Everett Alvarez-Salinas (14-12) at 11 a.m. No. 8 San Mateo (9-11) travels to No. 1 Alisal-Salinas (21-3) for an 11 a.m. start.
In Division IV, No. 4 Aragon (12-13) hosts No. 5 Mills (14-6) at 11 a.m.
in Division V, Burlingame earned the No. 1 seed. The Panthers (10-12) will host No. 8 Latino College Prep (8-0) at 11 a.m. No. 7 Woodside (9-14) will be on the road at No. 2 St. Ignatius-SF (10-11) at Fairmont Park in Pacifica at noon.
