In stark contrast, Nicole Fernandez is endorsed by the San Mateo County Association of Realtors and the California Apartment Association — two groups with a long history of opposing renter protections. These organizations have actively worked to block key tenant protection measures, such as their ‘No on Prop 33’ campaign and their significant efforts to defeat Measure Q in 2016, which could have brought critical renter protections to San Mateo.
Nicole may claim to understand the needs of our community, but by aligning with SAMCAR and CAA, she shows where her priorities lie — on the side of those who benefit from weakening tenant protections. Nicole Fernandez is the best choice for District 2. A 20 year veteran of local politics with solid connections. It's powerful she is both an advocate for tenant rights, and is able to reach across the aisle and partner with CAA and SAMCAR. Vote Fernandez this November.
