Editor,

When you see a veteran, let them know how much you respect them — both men and women.

Thanks Mike! This veteran also likes to thank just about everyone he runs into, from the barista at the coffee shop to the psychologist to the nurse to the sanitation worker to the coal miner to the newspaper reader who chimes in with kind words. Yes, vets did something unique, taking an oath to give their very lives for the defense of this nation and many coming home wounded in mind and body. Thank you for taking a few moments to lift up those who have served.

I have many military pins on my visor there is not a day that goes by that the marine flag pin is noted by a Marine vet then the conversation begins where were you ? they all refer to my marine flag pin truly a gift from my Marine vietnam vet pin. I stand and watch and appreciate they have given us fulfilling obligations to our country..when vets meet each other a truly beautiful conversation ensues love listening to their stories. God blesds the USA<

I noticed that ever since I placed a license plate cover with "U.S. Air Force Veteran" on it, I have not gotten any speeding tickets. Next I am going to try the HOV lanes while alone in the car.
