Editor,
I read your article about the Hamas flag at a San Carlos residence with disbelief. It left me asking why Jews are the only group in the world that have to defend themselves for defending themselves.
Editor,

If you think that its owner Rashid simply flies it because he innocently believes in the five pillars of Islam and doesn’t support Hamas, I have a bridge I can sell you. There’s no mistaking what a Hamas flag means, and it’s not an innocent expression of the five pillars of Islam, as Rashid thinks you’re stupid enough to believe.
A Hamas flag is a sign of war; the genocidal attack in Israel on Oct. 7 allows no other conclusion. The Hamas end game is written unequivocally in its charter. One of its goals is to kill every Jew on the planet. Is it really appropriate to imagine that so long as the flag complies with municipal regulations, everything is fine and dandy?
Make no mistake, if you think a religion that endorses lining up in military formation in public streets to block traffic so its adherents can have a “private” moment of prayer, you’re as naive and stupid as Rashid believes you are. And after they’re done with the Jews, no prizes for guessing who’s next. If that happens, it will be too late to turn the other cheek.

What exactly is in the Hamas charter? Why don't you show us instead of spouting hatred and what sounds like wild exaggerations.
You conclude that Oct 7 is a sign of war by Hamas. You must have the mind of a 5 year old since October 7 was far more complicated than your apparently simple mind seems to be able to grasp. For example, we know that Israel at least allowed October 7 to happen, and hundreds of the Israeli casualties (many of them liberal peace nicks that were opposed by the far right party of Netanyahu) were at the hands of the Israeli military.
To think that the October 7 attack was unprovoked also indicates acute naivety. Israel had committed many mass casualty attacks and assassinations on Gaza over a long period of time prior to October 7, with thousands of Palestinian casualties. Some Israeli operations, called "moving the grass," far exceeded October 7 in terms loss of life and property loss to residents of Gaza.
Do all Muslims want to kill all the Jews, or just the extreme Muslims that are funded by the likes of the US and Israel? Somehow you seem to forget the extremist Muslims funded and supported by the US and Israel very recently in Syria. The Jihadis that took over Syria with the blessing of Israel also want to kill Christians and any Muslim sect that they disagree with.
Thanks for your comment, JCar, but you’re doing exactly the same thing you’re accusing Mr. Tuck of doing – spouting hatred and what sounds like wild exaggerations. Regardless, Hamas is getting the appropriate response from what they started and we can only hope Israel completes their goal sooner rather than later although there are benefits to reducing the number of Hamas terrorists in prolonging the war.
