I was dismayed by your endorsement list for Foster City Council (Feb. 22, 2024 edition). You did not include Mayor Patrick Sullivan, a four-year veteran and experienced leader in the city of Foster City. He was endorsed by both U.S. Rep. Kevin Mullin and retired U.S. Rep. Jackie Speier. He was also endorsed by other former mayors, current city councilmen and county supervisors, among other leaders.
It is very concerning since he is well liked in the community. It appears your editorial left out Mayor Sullivan’s qualifications and true leadership that he represents for Foster City during his past tenure of four years. His mantra transcends the core values we all aspire and want in a public servant: “leadership, not politics.”
Mayor Patrick Sullivan represents leadership!
