Editor,

A group of nonpartisan volunteers is working to restore tax protections that were ripped away by the passage of California Proposition 19 of 2020. Prop. 19 resulted in an unexpected crushing annual tax burden for hundreds of thousands of ordinary Californians who have just lost their parents and hoping to remain in the family home.

WOW, first of all, you're saying that folks who saw a gift of a house or small business through no work of their own but for the good luck of being born into a bit of privilege, now should get a double freebee? Sorry if I don't agree.
