Editor,

It is with shock that I learned the Daily Journal endorsed Joe Galligan for the elected position of assessor in San Mateo County. Joe Galligan’s behavior while he was a member of the Burlingame City Council was some of the absolute worst management of city government. His egotistical attitude did nothing to foster unity on the council. He personally once told me, "It doesn’t matter if you are right or wrong as long as you have the three votes.” Is this the type of person we want for assessor in San Mateo County? Remember Joe Galligan was mayor during the times when money was not set aside for rainy day projects but was used without the thought of preparing for the future.
