Virginia “Ginny” Levy passed away peacefully on November 17, 2018 from complications of diabetes and strokes. She was born in 1956 to the late Dr. Joseph and Joanne (Presley) Levy in Seattle, WA. Soon after, the family moved to Burlingame, CA where Virginia was raised. She is survived by her sister Suzanne Levy Garrett, brother-in-law Chuck, and nephew Jeffrey.
Virginia attended Mills High School in Millbrae where she was—and remained—the dynamic leader of the Class of 1975.
Virginia studied history at UCLA and belonged to Alpha Phi, where she served as House Manager. Truly, she was a much-loved sorority sister. Post-college, Virginia remained in Los Angeles and led a major Alpha Phi House restoration project. She worked in office and property management, and was an executive at ‘Round Midnight Films, a broadcast and media production company.
Undeniably, Virginia was the glue that held together the Class of 1975 and sisters of Alpha Phi.
She loved classical music, reading and traveling, but most of all, she adored her family and friends. Virginia will be remembered for her steadfast devotion to her friends, warm heart, kindness, generosity and exuberant, loving spirit.
