Leona ‘Lee’ Hamp
Leona “Lee” Hamp, born June 6, 1937, died Dec. 4, 2018.
Born in Fowler, California, Lee was the first child of Bernice and Gerard Hamp. After receiving her teaching credential, she would soon move to the Bay Area where she taught elementary school in a career that spanned over 40 years. She lived in San Mateo and taught at Foster City schools.
“Lee was the centerpiece of our family, and in the end left us all better people. How lucky we were to have her presence.”
Remembrances can be made to the Vivian Peoples Scholarship Endowment at CSU Fresno, 2345 E San Ramon Ave, MS26 8024, Attn. Amy Miller, Fresno, CA 93704.
