LOS ANGELES — A new poll shows California voters narrowly favor legalization of marijuana.
The Los Angeles Times-University of Southern California poll shows 49 percent support a November ballot measure that would allow the growing and consumption of pot. Forty-one percent oppose the measure and 10 percent are undecided.
Nationally, an Associated Press-CNBC poll released in April showed 55 percent of Americans oppose legalizing marijuana.
The statewide survey of about 1,500 registered voters was conducted May 19-26. The margin of sampling error was plus or minus 2.6 percentage points.
