Service between the Hillsdale Station and the San Francisco terminal will be temporarily suspended on the weekend of Nov. 4 and 11, according to Caltrain officials.
The partial shutdown is "needed to accommodate extensive construction in San Mateo, Burlingame, Millbrae and South San Francisco," according to a statement released by Caltrain.
There will be an exception made for stops at Bay Meadows during racing times.
Passengers are encouraged to take SamTrans as an alternative during the closure.
Passengers traveling on the El Camino Real can take the 390 and 391, which both connect with BART stations in northern San Mateo County.

Regular SamTrans fares will apply, but they will also take valid Caltrain monthly passes and 10-ride tickets as payment on all fixed-route buses during the partial closure.
While closed, area workers plan to rebuild the track in San Mateo between 16th and ninth Ave. They plan to replace crossties in Burlinamge and South San Francisco. They also plan to construct a new bridge at Hillcrest Ave. in Millbrae, which will allow Caltrain to expand four tracks, according to the statement.
