A San Mateo man was arrested in Los Angeles after police found a weapons arsenal in his home after a search warrant was issued because he followed a woman from San Francisco, took photographs of her car, then repeated the behavior, according to police.
The man, Leqiang Wang, 28, was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department Airport Division for warrants on the multiple weapons violations, according to San Mateo police.
The investigation began 11:30 p.m. March 7, when San Mateo police were contacted by the woman. San Mateo Criminal Investigations Bureau took over the investigation and authored search warrants. After a search of the home was completed, officers located numerous illegal firearms, automatic rifles, silencers, unserialized firearms and firearm manufacturing items, according to police.
Wang is currently in custody in Los Angeles and is awaiting to be transported to San Mateo County, police said.
