Two women were arrested Wednesday night on the 800 block of Commodore Drive in San Bruno for prostitution after an undercover operation spurred by citizen complaints that there was a brothel at the location.
At approximately 6 p.m., the San Bruno Police Department conducted the operation after the complaints and independent investigations regarding criminal activity at the location, according to police.
During the operation, officers were led to an apartment where suspected prostitution was occurring. The San Bruno police investigators discovered a brothel being operated at the location and contacted two females, who were engaging in acts of prostitution.
Xifeng Yu, 40, of San Gabriel, and Shu Bo Zhang, 48, of Monterey Park, were arrested for engaging in acts of prostitution. Both subjects were issued citations for the offense and released, according to police.
The San Bruno Police Department Investigative Services Section is continuing to investigate this type of criminal activity.
