A San Bruno man in his vehicle stopped in the middle of the street on El Camino Real near Third Avenue early Wednesday morning was allegedly found not only with an expired registration sticker but with meth and a pipe to smoke it, according to San Mateo police.

At about 1:53 a.m., a San Mateo police officer noticed the car and pulled it over. There, the driver, identified as Daniel Caballero, 40, of San Bruno, was contacted as he walked away from the car. It was then the officer found the drugs and paraphernalia. A records check showed he had two or more previous convictions for possession of a controlled substance and because of the recently passed Proposition 36 was booked into county jail, according to police.
