After serving Redwood City in an interim capacity, Patrick Heisinger will assume the Assistant City Manager position starting March 11.
Heisinger has also held similar city manager positions in East Palo Alto and, beginning last April, he began working for Redwood City as the Interim Housing Manager, leading efforts related to residential and commercial development, affordable housing funds and property acquisitions. He began the Interim Assistant City Manager role in the city last August.
“I am honored to join the Redwood City team and contribute to the continued success and prosperity of this vibrant community,” Patrick Heisinger said in a press release. “I am committed to collaborating with all stakeholders to address the needs and priorities of Redwood City residents and businesses. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient city for future generations.”
The position requires a broad range of expertise and experience, ranging from economic development and housing to administrative and parks and recreation-related services.
“His expertise will play a crucial role in shaping the city’s future and advancing the Council’s strategic goals,” City Manager Melissa Stevenson Diaz said in the press release.
