President Donald Trump’s vast domestic policy agenda narrowly passed through the House on Thursday, in a frustrating conclusion for congressional Democrats and their futile opposition to sweeping tax cuts and gutting of social safety net programs within the bill.

“Am I surprised by the outcome? No. There was a lot of theatrics,” U.S. Rep. Sam Liccardo, D-San Jose, said. “Many [were] blasting the impact of the bill on the budget deficit and debt. Every one of those who protested loudly caved.”

It’s amusing to hear Democrats suddenly be concerned about debt when Dems always spend taxpayer money like there’s no tomorrow. Ignore Dems and their fear-mongering. The ones who should be worried about losing money and benefits are those who have been abusing the system and those who are not American citizens. As for “theatrics” look no further than Hakeem Jefferies who took his “magic minute” and another 500+ in another delay tactic of performative politics. It was so bad that Dems were falling asleep around him. BTW, if people and states are so concerned about losing funding, they’re free to pull out their wallets and contribute as much as they want. Odds of that? Zero is my guess. Meanwhile, congratulations to Congress for passing Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill. I hear Trump is signing the bill today. The Golden Age of America is upon us, indeed!
