Award-winning actor and activist Patricia Arquette will have a conversation with Rep. Jackie Speier, D-San Mateo, early next month in Burlingame, according to the Burlingame Library Foundation.
At 4 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Burlingame Public Library at 480 Primrose Road, the pair will talk as part of the new library speaker series.
Arquette won an Academy Award in 2015. She formed the nonprofit GiveLove.org to provide ecological sanitation worldwide and has voiced her support for fair and equal pay and the Equal Rights Amendment.
Rep. Speier represents California's 14th Congressional District, which stretches from southern San Francisco to East Palo Alto.
