Millbrae police said today they are still looking for a suspect in a weekend strong-arm robbery that occurred near an area gas station.
According to authorities, the crime took place shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday near the Union 76 filling station at 5 El Camino Real. Police say the unidentified victim was walking on the sidewalk toward the gas station when a man who was apparently smoking a cigar approached, asking for a light.
The man then grabbed the victim, demanding and receiving an
undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The suspect was last seen
running westbound on Millbrae Avenue.
He is described as a black, 19- to 20-year-old man, roughly 5 feet
6 inches tall and 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red and black beanie cap and a large black parka.
Police ask that anyone with information contact the Millbrae Police Department at (650) 259-2300.<
