Federal government
• U.S. Rep. Jackie Speier, D-San Mateo, will host her 10th town hall this year, titled “A Conversation about America: Health Care,” at the Terra Nova High School Theater in Pacifica from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 15. She will be joined by state Sen. Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo, and Assemblyman Kevin Mullin, D-San Mateo, to discuss how federal and state bills will impact health care coverage in California and answer questions from constituents.
This is one in an ongoing series of town halls that Speier has hosted since the 2016 elections. Previous town halls have been held in Pacifica, San Francisco, San Mateo, South San Francisco, Half Moon Bay and Redwood City.
The Terra Nova High School Theater is at 1450 Terra Nova Blvd., Pacifica.
