Foster City man shoots boss, self
In what appears to be a murder-suicide, a Foster City man apparently connected to a Mountain View homicide earlier in the evening was found dead around 10 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 27, 2002, blocks from his house.
Guyang Matthew Huang, 38, a former employee of a pharmaceutical company, was found dead next to the levee pedestrian way in the 1500 block of Beach Park Boulevard near the San Francisco Bay front. The cause of death was an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Around 8:45 p.m., Mountain View police responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of Windmilll Park Lane. The victim, whose name had not been released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office, was found in the doorway to her home, shot several times. The woman answered the door when a deliveryman from Domino’s brought her a pizza she did not order. Her teenage son was in the residence at the time of the shooting.
Doctor charged with murder
The Minnesota obstetrician accused of fatally stabbing her 13-year-old son and attacking his father in Burlingame was composed, articulate and out of view of the audience while being formally charged with the crimes Feb. 26, 2002.
Donna Marie Anderson, 49, stayed just out of view behind a glass partition in a San Mateo County courtroom and spoke calmly into a microphone that she understood the charges against her.

People in the packed courtroom craned their necks to get a first glimpse of the woman whom Burlingame police say murdered her son, Stephen Burns, with a 7-inch kitchen knife bought at a local store. But observers, including members of the family who declined public comment, had to make do with Anderson’s composed voice, which seemed to belie the charges levied against her.
Man picks up, throws San Mateo police officer
A San Mateo police officer was sent to the hospital Feb. 25, 2002 after being thrown to the ground by a man another officer was trying to arrest.
The man, 43-year-old Wilton Perkins of Redwood City, was charged with two counts of assault, resisting arrest, and child endangerment. The officer, Bob Stein, drove himself to Peninsula Hospital in Burlingame.
At approximately 3:45 p.m., San Mateo police Officer Dan Cabral attempted to serve Perkins a no-bail warrant for disobeying a court order at the Martin Luther King Jr. Park playground. At the time, Perkins was trying to pull his 12-year-old daughter into the car, said San Mateo Police Lt. Barbara Hammerman. His daughter lives in San Mateo with her mother, Perkins’ former partner.
When Cabral approached Perkins, Hammerman said Perkins fled on foot. Other officers were called, and Perkins was found hiding in the backyard of a house on the 800 block of Monte Diablo Avenue.
