A free, high-flying drone show returns to the Port of Redwood City 6-9 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at 459 Seaport Court, featuring a pirate-themed evening of family fun, live music and a dazzling aerial display.
Presented in partnership with Open Sky Productions, the show will feature more than 150 illuminated drones lighting up the night sky with coordinated animations inspired by pirate tales. The drone show begins promptly at 8:30 p.m.
The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a live performance by Super Diamond, the nationally recognized Neil Diamond tribute band, performing fan favorites like Sweet Caroline, Forever in Blue Jeans and You Don’t Bring Me Flowers.
Families can enjoy a range of activities leading up to the show including face painting, balloon art, inflatable slides and pirate character meet-and-greets.
The first 400 kids to arrive will receive a free light-up pirate sword. An expanded lineup of food trucks and vendors will offer everything from sliders and savory bites to ice cream and sweets. Confirmed vendors include Red Sauce Restaurant, Mister Softee Ice Cream, Curveball Slider Truck and more. For those of legal age (over 21) Devil’s Canyon Brewing Co. will be back to pour craft beer, wine and their famous root beer.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a jacket and low back chair or blanket to enjoy the drone show. Dogs and outside coolers are permitted.
