Wells Fargo & Co. said Wednesday its chief financial officer, Ross Kari, is stepping down, removing another holdover from the management team in charge of the California bank before a 1998 takeover.
Kari, 42, had been Wells' CFO leading up to the bank's November 1998 sale to Minneapolis-based Norwest Corp., which moved its headquarters to San Francisco and adopted Wells' identity.
After the takeover, Kari relinquished the CFO title to Rod Jacobs
