SamTrans is bringing back its popular Summer Youth Pass, offering unlimited bus rides for youth 18 and under from June 1 through Aug. 31 for just $40, officials announced.
The pass offers access to parks, libraries, museums, shopping centers and other youth-friendly destinations across San Mateo County, county officials said.
The pass provides more than 50% savings compared to three monthly youth passes. It aims to help families keep kids active, connected and moving safely throughout the summer, a press release issued Wednesday noted.
"Parents want peace of mind that their kids can get where they need to go safely and affordably," said SamTrans General Manager/CEO April Chan. "The Summer Youth Pass gives families a simple, affordable way to ensure their kids can travel independently, safely and stay active in their communities."
The Summer Youth Pass is available for purchase at SamTrans.com/SYP, through the SamTrans Mobile app, or in person at 1250 San Carlos Ave., San Carlos, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
