Pet Parade

Burlingame held its 20th annual Pet Parade on Saturday, Sept. 27. A wide variety of costumed pets, and their owners paraded down Broadway. Here are the winners of the Best Pet Trick Competition. They are, front row, Olivia Bachmann, skateboard-riding Coconut, and Willa Keintz. Back row, Jack Bachmann, Burlingame Chamber of Commerce President Susan Baker, and Heidi Bachmann. The other winners were: Best Dressed Pet: owner, Jordana Peil; pet, Lona the labrador dressed as a peacock; Most Unusual Pet: owner, Corinne Pitre;pPet, Turbeane the tortoise; Best Pet Trick: owner, Bachmann; pet, Coconut the goldendoodle, skateboarder; Most Original Float: owner, Amalio; float, Sponge Bob Krabby Patties with a hermit crab named Crabby; Grand Prize: owner, Malosova Family; pet: Baby Yoda, Mila the mini Daschund, in a stroller with family dressed up too; and School Float competition: first place, McKinley Elementary School with 101 Dalmations Float; second place, Burlingame Intermediate School with Trojan Horse Float.
