NFL to offer video downloads of Super Bowl highlights on iTunes
SAN JOSE — For the first time ever, football fans will be able to download video highlights of the Super Bowl, and they will be offered exclusively through Apple Inc.’s online iTunes Store.
The National Football League said Tuesday it will make highlights from Sunday’s game available for purchase online the following day. The download, in English or Spanish, will cost $1.99 and will be viewable on computers or iPods.
A 90-minute video of the NFL’s coverage of the Super Bowl will also be sold for $1.99.
"It’s another way for fans to relive the Super Bowl before they get to the water cooler,” said Brian Rolapp, the NFL’s vice president for media strategy.
Video highlights from the NFL’s regular-season and playoff games have been available from the iTunes Store since September.

Feinstein encourages citrus freeze aid — personally
WASHINGTON — Sen. Dianne Feinstein wrote a $1,000 personal check Tuesday to help Tulare County farmers hurt by the citrus freeze, but large-scale federal aid might be harder to come by.
Feinstein, D-Calif., took out her checkbook and handed over the donation to United Way of Tulare County after meeting with county officials in her office. Citrus orchards in Tulare County were hit hard by the five-night freeze that happened earlier this month and caused nearly $1 billion in damage to California’s citrus crops and other produce.
Feinstein, Sen. Barbara Boxer and other California officials are asking for a disaster declaration from President Bush that will free up more money.
But it’s not clear how successful they’ll be or how quickly they’ll be able to get money flowing to the state.
"Sen. Boxer and I will do our utmost to see there is a relief package for California,” Feinstein told the Tulare County contingent, which was led by county Supervisors Allen Ishida and Steve Worthley.
