Jovani Hernandez Cruz was one of two Bearcats to rush for more than 100 yards in a 35-21 win over Mountain View last week. Cruz finished with 124 yards and two scores on 18 carries. Quarterback Lukas Fitzgerald also went over the 100-yard mark, finishing with 126 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.

The Bearcats beat Mountain View last week, 35-21. … The Knights knocked off Burlingame, 45-7. … This is the first meeting between these teams since 2019, when King’s beat San Mateo, 42-14. … The Bearcats rushed for a season-high 380 yards against Mountain View, led by a pair of 100-yard rushers. Jovani Hernandez Cruz rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. Lukas Fitzgerald had 126 yards on 20 carries, with a score, as well. … King’s wracked up a season-high 436 yards of offense last week. … Sophomore quarterback Ricky Gutierrez threw for a career-high 261 yards on 13-of-19 passing, with three touchdowns. … The Knights defense has allowed a total of 33 points through six games this season.
El Camino (1-2 PAL Lake, 3-3 overall) at MacDonald (1-1, 5-1), 7 p.m.
The Colts were clipped by Saratoga last week, 20-17. … The Condors were grounded by Jefferson, 41-20. … MacDonald beat El Camino 17-7 last season. … The Colts are 1-2 in their last three games. … The El Camino defense has given up 20 points in its last two games, shutting out Mills 21-0 two weeks ago. … MacDonald was handed its first loss of the season last week. … The Condors passed for a season-high 163 yards last week, but were held to a season-low 107 yards rushing. … The 44 points allowed was a season-high for the MacDonald defense.
