Menlo 48, Evergreen Valley 40
The Lady Knights (8-0) continued its red-hot start to the season with a big finish against Evergreen Valley (5-2) at the Del Mar Shootout. Senior Ruiqi Liu recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds, adding four assists and three steals. Senior guard Karen Xin scored a team-high 17 points to go with five boards and four assists, and junior Sophie Housser grabbed 10 rebounds. Diya Dharmashankar and Rayleen Shandhu paced Evergreen Valley with 13 points apiece.
Archie Williams 50, Terra Nova 44
The Tigers (6-2) dropped the third-place game at their host Jim Soden Varsity Tournament to Archie Williams-San Anselmo (4-4). Junior Gabby Dyogi finished a rebound shy of a double-double for Terra Nova with 16 points and nine rebounds. Senior Mariyah Mahasin added 10 points while sophomore Reese Kelley had seven points, four assists and three steals.

Notre Dame-Belmont (6-0) rolled to its sixth straight win with a 55-33 victory over Burlingame (3-4) in the championship game at the NDB Invitational.
Sacred Heart Prep (5-1) overcame an early deficit to claim the TKA Tournament championship with a 48-32 win over host King’s Academy (5-3).
Menlo-Atherton (4-2) won 58-57, overcoming a 29-24 halftime deficit to hand Half Moon Bay (5-1) its first loss of the year at the Jim Soden Tournament at Terra Nova.
Carlmont (3-2) used a big third quarter to win 47-31 over Summit Shasta (2-3) at the NDB Invitational.
Aragon (1-5) fell 67-31 in its home tournament to Pioneer-San Jose (4-3).
San Mateo (5-3) opened on a 17-7 run and cruised to a 52-22 win at Hayward (1-6).
Hillsdale (6-1) took its first loss of the season, falling 59-41 to Lick-Wilmerding (5-4) at the NDB Tournament.
Woodside (3-4) fell 58-49 at Leigh-San Jose (2-5).
Mills (4-2) fell 50-37 to Harker (6-0) in the Del Mar Shootout.

Serra 54, Ygnacio Valley 52
The Padres (3-1) won the third-place game at the De La Salle Tournament, holding off Ygnacio Valley-Concord (4-4) on the final day of the three-day event. Junior guard Wyatt Von Blanco led Serra with 16 points and earned all-tournament honors in the process. Blanco totaled 32 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists and eight steals in the tourney.
Mikey Ballout added 10 points in Saturday’s win, while Jace Cannon scored eight and Chris Philpott seven.
Capuchino 52, Fremont 51
The Mustangs (4-4) earned their third straight win, rallying past Fremont-Sunnyvale (3-3) in San Bruno. Senior forward Dominic Vanden Berghe poured in 21 points to lead the way, adding seven rebounds and a season-high three assists. Junior guard Matthew Alas added 10 points while sophomore Isaiah Pogue totaled six points, nine rebound and four assists.
Cap has now rebounded from a 1-4 start with a win streak that includes victories over Rise University Prep-SF and Mt. Pleasant-San Jose.

Woodside (5-3) had a three-game winning streak snapped with a 53-39 loss at home to Milpitas (5-1).
Aragon (4-3) earned the Cardinal Classic consolation championship with a 48-44 win over host Lowell (3-3).
South City (4-1) won its fourth straight with a 68-38 blowout at home of Yerba Buena (0-9).
El Camino (5-1) claimed third place in the Cardinal Classic at Lowell with a 60-55 win over Galileo (2-6).
Summit Shasta (5-1) fell 65-59 in the championship game of the Cardinal Classic against Lick-Wilmerding (8-1).

De La Salle 48, Serra 36
The Padres (2-1) took their first loss of the season, falling to host De La Salle (6-0) in the semifinals of the DLS Tournament. Mikey Ballout led Serra with 11 points and Sebastian Margate added nine. De La Salle went on the win the tournament Saturday with a 61-57 win over Santa Margarita.

San Mateo (4-3) snapped a three-game losing streak by salvaging the final game of the Wildcat Shootout at Los Gatos, rolling 64-41 past Branham-San Jose (3-3).
Aragon (3-3) rolled to a 69-42 win over Wallenberg-SF (1-4) in the consolation bracket of the Cardinal Classic.
Westmoor (1-6) fell 80-54 at home against Stuart Hall-SF (7-4).
Mills (1-4) fell 69-47 in tournament play to Santa Cruz (3-4).
Menlo (4-2) fell 68-44 in the third-place game at the Wildcat Shootout to host Los Gatos (6-1).
Summit Shasta (5-0) won its fifth straight with a 63-58 win over El Camino (4-1) in the Cardinal Classic semifinals in San Francisco.

Design Tech 41, Crystal 33
Jewel Wilson made three 3s and was 6 of 7 from the free-throw line to score a team-high 17 points to lead the Dragons (3-2) to victory at Crystal (3-1). Design Tech pitched a 10-0 shutout in the first quarter and led the rest of the way. Crystal closed it to 26-24 at the end of three quarters, but the Dragons went on a 15-9 run in the fourth.
Senior Emi LaPedis added nine points and six rebounds for Design Tech, sophomore Eve Casile scored eight, and junior Vanessa Chow grabbed eight rebounds.
Terra Nova 53, Hayward 33
The Tigers (6-1) rolled to victory in the second round of their host Jim Soden Tournament against Hayward (1-5). Three Terra Nova players scored in double figures, paced by Gabby Dyogi with 14 points and seven rebounds. Reese Kelley added 12 points and five assists, while junior Riley Darnell scored 11. Junior Haley Kubit matched Dyogi with a team-high seven rebounds. Hayward junior Lilana Aranda scored a game-high 16 points.
Half Moon Bay 63, Lowell 43
The Cougars (5-0) won their fifth straight to start the year against Lowell-SF (4-3) at the Jim Soden Tournament. Xochitl Nieves and Delaney Dorwin shared the team-high for HMB with 16 points apiece, with Nieves knocking down four 3-pointers. Dorwin recorded a double-double, adding 10 rebounds. Makena Glenn finished with seven points and six assists.

Oceana (0-7) fell 49-15 at Eastside College Prep (7-1).
Woodside (3-3) fell 40-30 at home to Newark Memorial (2-3).
Menlo-Atherton (3-2) rolled to a 48-31 win over Westmoor (4-1) at the Jim Soden Tournament in Pacifica.
Carlmont (2-2) evened its record with a 40-28 win over Washington (2-2) in the NDB tourney.
