King’s Academy 11, Carlmont 1
The Knights joined Burlingame and Menlo-Atherton atop the PAL Bay Division standings after rolling over the Scots.
King’s (5-2 PAL Bay, 10-7-1 overall) scored 11 runs on 15 hits and were leading just 3-1 after four innings before putting the game away. The Knights scored three in the fifth and sixth inning, and added two more in the top of the seventh.
Ethan Johnson drilled a three-run home run to pace the offense for King’s, while Anthony White went 4 for 5 with a double and two RBIs. Toby Trotter went the distance on the mound, allowing one run on just four hits.
Noah Werbinski had the lone RBI for Carlmont (3-4, 11-7).
Hillsdale 8, Sacred Heart Prep 1
The Knights scored runs in four consecutive innings to top the Gators.
Hillsdale (3-4 PAL Bay, 6-7-1 overall) took a 2-0 lead in the third, added four more in the fourth and capped its scoring with two runs in the fifth.
SHP (1-6, 6-14) avoided the shutout with a run in the top of the seventh.
Mason Kang drove in three runs lead Hillsdale, while Ethan Belloni added a pair of RBIs. Jake Belloni got the win for the Knights, allowing one run on two hits while striking out 13. He was near the pitch limit after 6 2/3 innings, necessitating Ethan Belloni to come in to get the final out.
Capuchino 2, Sequoia 0
The Mustangs scored single runs in the fourth and fifth innings to top the Ravens.
Declan Mendel got the win, going the distance on the mound, scattering three hits and fanning nine for Capuchino (3-4 PAL Bay, 14-6 overall).
Ryan Burton and Yulio Ceron had RBIs for the Mustangs.
Sequoia falls to 3-4 in Bay play and 9-9 overall.
Softball
Notre Dame-Belmont 5, Mills 1
A four-run top of the fourth carried the Tigers over the Vikings in a non-league in Millbrae.
Malaina Alifano and Skylar Loo each doubled and drove in two runs to lead the offense for NDB (8-6 overall). Allison Lui got the win in the circle for the Tigers, giving up one run on one hit, while striking out nine and walking just one.
Bella Leary drove in the only run for Mills (6-5).
Boys’ volleyball
San Mateo 3, Sequoia 2
The Bearcats needed five sets to get past the Ravens — 22-25, 25-22, 27-25, 24-26, 15-12.
Cade Miller had a big game for San Mateo (5-0 PAL Ocean, 14-0 overall), finishing with 24 kills. Connor Edmonds was an assist machine for the Bearcats, pumping out 45 assists.

In other action ...
Menlo-Atherton (4-3 PAL Bay, 19-4 overall) swept Hillsdale (1-6, 3-13) — 29-27, 25-23, 25-19.
Carlmont (6-1 PAL Bay, 25-8 overall) pulled into a tie atop the Bay Division standings with a 25-20, 25-12, 25-22 win over Mills (0-7, 7-12), coupled with Burlingame’s upset of previously undefeated Aragon.
Boys’ tennis
Menlo School 5, Harker 2
The Knights remained undefeated in WBAL play after downing the Eagles.
Menlo (8-0 WBAL) got singles wins from Yuanye Ma and Surya Dedatta and then swept the three doubles matches.
Boys’ golf
Mills 219, South City 249
Dru Yonemura took home low-round honors in leading the Vikings to the Ocean Division win over the Warriors on the Fleming course at Harding Park in San Francisco.
Yonemura carded a 39 for Mills, Nathan Tan and Conor Lai each posted 44s, while Kory Wong and Mitchell Ng both scored 46s.
South City was led by Joseph Preciado’s 40. Aiden Yang carded a 49 for the Warriors.
Boys’ lacrosse
Menlo School 15, Mitty 3
The Knights routed the Monarchs in a WCAL match.
Caden Chock paced the offense for Menlo (3-3 WCAL), scoring four goals. Nikky Scacco added a hat trick for the Knights, as well. James Wernikoff and Palmer Riley each had three assists and combined for three goals. Menlo goalie Benjamin Chock finished with eight saves.
Carlmont 10, Burlingame 9
The Scots, trailing 8-6 going into the fourth quarter, outscored the Panthers 4-1 in the final period to pull out the PAL Bay Division victory.
Jacob Tom led Carlmont (3-2 PAL Bay, 8-3 overall), scoring four goals. James Mauck added a hat trick while Nicholas Tolod had a pair of goals for the Scots.
Burlingame (1-4, 2-6) was led by Jacob Tom, who scored four times. Henry Bradley scored twice for the Panthers as well.
Girls’ lacrosse
Sacred Heart Prep 18, Menlo School 8
The Gators cruised past the rival Knights in a WBAL match.
Olivia Abbott led the way for SHP (7-0 WBAL, 13-1 overall), finishing with seven goals. Nora Still added four, Maggie Goldstein notched a hat trick, while Lily Selcher and Kat Dykes each scored twice for the Gators.
Menlo falls to 4-3 in WBAL matches and 8-4 overall.
