Alpine pitcher Nolan Levinson fired four innings of no-hit baseball Saturday in a 9-2 win over San Mateo American in the semifinals of the District 52 Little League All-Stars 12s tournament at Middlefield Ballpark.
Alpine starting pitcher Nolan Levinson fired four no-hit innings, and Alpine exploded for six runs in the third to advance to the District 52 12s championship round with a win over San Mateo American at Middlefield Ballpark.
Levinson enjoyed a perfect day at the plate, going 2 for 2 with a walk, an RBI and a runs scored, and earned the win on the mound. The right-hander exited after four innings, allowing just two walks while striking out nine. Relief pitcher Bodhi Bedner entered in the fifth, and struck out the first three batters, but one of them reached on a dropped third strike. That extended the inning for Carter Wells to break up the no-hitter with an RBI double to left field.
Bedner closed it out, allowing two runs (none earned) on three hits while striking out four through two innings of work.
Alpine totaled 12 hits in the game, and is now batting .459 as a team through the tournament. Kogan Flannery went 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs, Bedner, Garrett Weiss, Jack Chambers and Max Turner each doubled, and Charles Saste had a triple.
Mazin Khoury, Colton Baker and Elliott Klemp pitched for American.

San Mateo National 12, Palo Alto 1
San Mateo National scored third times in the first, and five more times in the third in a five-inning, mercy-rule win over Palo Alto in the quarterfinals of the elimination bracket at Middlefield Ballpark.
Michael Bahamondes added a solo home run to left field to lead off the fourth. National was 6 for 11 through the middle of their order, with No. 3 hitter Christopher Vasquez going 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, Bahamondes at cleanup 2 for 4 with an RBI, and No. 5 hitter Nathan Bosick going 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs.
On the mound, Bosick and reliever William Falzon took care of the rest. Bosick worked four innings, allowing one run on four hits and one walk, while striking out four to earn the win. Falzon pitched a perfect fifth to close it out, striking out one and finishing with back-to-back grounders to second baseman Casey Armstrong.
Palo Alto scored once in the first inning. After Austin Carlstrom doubled to left, Philip Sheng came through with a two-out RBI single.
Yuma Muraoka, Karam Dhillon and Charles Reiss pitched for Palo Alto.
