Mills (0-0, 0-5) at El Camino (1-0, 3-2), 3 p.m.
The Vikings had a bye last week, but were thumped by Monte Vista Christian-Watsonville 55-0 two weeks ago. The Colts are coming off a 23-20 win over Hillsdale.
Mills' loss two weeks ago was the second time in three games the Vikings were shut out. Offensively, the Vikings are averaging a paltry 7.8 points per game, while allowing nearly 47 points a contest.
El Camino does nothing fancy offensively, but what the Colts do, couldn't be stopped -- namely, their ground attack. Nathan Huey was the workhorse for the Colts last week, churning out 163 yards and 36 carries. Defensively, the Colts held Hillsdale's big-play offense in check, giving up only 213 yards of total offense.
Sequoia (0-0, 4-0-1) at
Capuchino, (0-0, 1-3), 7 p.m.
The Cherokees downed San Marcos-San Diego County, 35-9. The Mustangs fell to Harker, 27-6.
Sequoia running back Josh Lauese had a big game for the Cherokees, rushing for one touchdown and catching a second. He finished with 113 yards rushing. Loti Lauese also factored into the decision, scoring on an 80-yard run. QB James Beekley ran for a 22-yard touchdown as the Cherokees racked up nearly 300 yards rushing.

Jefferson (1-0, 4-1), 7 p.m.
The Wildcats picked up their first win of the season, a 24-6 victory over San Mateo. The Indians added another impressive win to their resume with a 10-6 win over South City.
Woodside running back Bernard Sims Jr. rushed for over 100 yards against San Mateo, but it was the Wildcats defense that delivered the win. Bryon Castillo came up with two interceptions, while lineman Nick Kasser had a pick and two sacks.
Jefferson continues to impress defensively, as it is allowing an average only 13 per points. It's the third time this season the Indians have given up less than two touchdowns. The defense had to be at its best because the Jefferson offense struggled last week, garnering only 228 yards of offense.
San Mateo (0-1, 2-3) at
Menlo School (1-0, 4-1), 3:30 p.m.
The Bearcats became Woodside's first victim, losing 24-6 to the Wildcats last week. The Knights buried Half Moon Bay, 40-22.
San Mateo could not overcome the loss of two of its best players and could not accomplish much against Woodside, which held San Mateo to only 129 yards of total offense, including negative-7 yards rushing. The Bearcats have already played a spread team, Terra Nova, that shredded them a couple weeks ago. Now, they have to contend with Menlo's run-and-shoot attack.
Menlo was firing on all cylinders last week as the Knights put up more than 450 yards of offense. QB Robert Wicker had another big game, eclipsing the 1,000-yard passing mark by throwing for 325 yards. RB Beau Nichols also had a big game, rushing for four touchdowns and catching a Wickers pass for a fifth score.
